What to expect after a treatment:
- Manual treatment releases restrictions that have been stuck, resulting in inflammation, toxins and metabolic waste released for the body to process. Acupuncture treatment allows you to use your body's own energy to heal. With this combination of therapy, you may experience symptoms such as soreness, body ache, mild flu-like symptoms, or fatigue that may last 1-3 days after a treatment.
- Steps to take after a treatment to maximize healing:
- No strenuous exercises for at least for 12 hours afterwards. REST! Walking and light stretching permitted.
- Hydrate with room temperature or warmer water.
- Eat nutritious, colorful, cooked, whole foods. Heavy on the veggies. Light on the meats, dairy, sugar and processed foods.
- Be asleep by 11 pm. This time period is crucial to allow your body to filter out and get rid of inflammation, toxins, and metabolic waste.
- These steps are important for your body to recover and maintain the gains we have achieved during each treatment. We hope you continue steps 2-4 for lasting wellness!

What is a wellness exam and treatment?
Health is "a complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." - World Health Organization (WHO). Staying healthy takes maintenance and constant upkeep. Our bodies are constantly aging, degenerating, exposed to external factors, stress, damaging emotional factors, and what we put into our bodies (diet). A wellness exam with InBalance AcuPT can reveal anatomical restrictions, movement dysfunctions, meridian imbalances and lifestyle mismanagement. We treat with manual therapy, acupuncture and lifestyle consultation to make sure your health is In Balance! Keeping your health in balance can prevent physical injury, optimize immune system, minimize degeneration, stabilize mood, and contribute to your happiness. Depending on the state of your health, wellness treatment may be required once a month, quarterly, biannually, or annually.
